FCC Concord is strongly committed to providing excellent ministry to middle and high school young people. We believe strongly that they are not only the “future” church, but an important, vital part of the church today, and we are grateful for their energy, enthusiasm, and participation. Our dynamic youth ministry program challenges young people to think about difficult issues and questions, to love themselves and one another, to learn about their role in the world, and to accept God's bountiful grace. Youth are encouraged and challenged to grow within themselves, in their relationships with others, and in their relationship with God.
Our Director of Youth Ministry, Sarah Young, and wonderful adult sponsors are dedicated to nurturing our youth as they grow in their faith. We welcome everyone who comes seeking a safe place to call home.
Youth Sunday School
Youth meet weekly for Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. We use a curriculum that focuses on what it means for youth to be visionaries and prophets in today's culture. At times challenging, often amusing and always relevant, these conversations challenge us on how to put our faith into action in today's world.
FCC Youth Group
Middle school age (Grades 6-8) and High School age (Grades 9-12) gather each Sunday, following worship at 11:15a for an hour of fun, fellowship, study, and service projects.
"You want to change a youth's life? Put a hammer in their hand and show them they have not only the ability but the responsibility to make a difference in the world." -- Rev. Dr. Russ Peterman
Imagine camping out under the stars, working hard all day in the hot sun, and experiencing the joy, humility, and satisfaction of serving a family in need. Build a house for an impoverished family while building relationships with new and old friends. Get to know a family from a different culture while getting to know yourself better, too. It is a remarkable experience you won’t soon forget.
The Mexico Mission Trip is a life-changing week of service and fellowship that is like no other experience you’ve ever had.
