Concord Mobile Dignity Center at First Christian Church
Beginning February 12, 2026, the Concord Mobile Dignity Center will be on our campus every Thursday afternoon for the next two years, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM in the parking lot turnaround in front of the sanctuary.
Developed over a period of several years by the coordinators of Concord GROW, the Mobile Dignity Center will offer showers, hot meals, clothing, groceries, medical care, housing, mental health resources, and spiritual care. The center will be led by Caminar, and will have support by Loaves and Fishes, White Pony Express, NAMI of Contra Costa County, RotaCare Bay Area, the Pleasant Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church, and First Christian Church, Concord. Funding is provided by the City of Concord, which awarded it $1.6 million for two years.
First Christian Church will provide the location and the electrical hookup for the shower trailer. Pastor Leslie, Lori Landberg, Brook Buck, and Bill Bush have served on the team to make this a realityl
We are excited to make our campus available for this important outreach effort to meet the needs of the wider community, and we are grateful to partner with services that can make life a little easier for those without a home.
