Our Senior Adult Ministry program focuses on fellowship and learning to keep our seniors connected with God, our church community and the world. This program offers opportunities for fun, networking, education, and interacting with other generations.
We meet the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. for directed craft classes. Currently we are making greeting cards.
We also have regular Senior Seminars on interesting topics that provide information and answer questions. We have had a class on identity theft and scams and a class on cooking for one. A seminar on the Spiritual Journey of Seniors is in the planning stages.
There is a Walking Group that meets on 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 9:30 a.m. We meet at the church and often walk the neighborhood or down to the Farmers' Market. All are welcome!
We have field trips to places of interest. In December we toured the historical Galindo house and saw it decorated for the Christmas holidays.
We gather each month for Lunch and Learn. We bring our lunch (drinks provided), meet in the Plambeck Room, hear interesting speakers and have good conversations..
