Adult Faith Formation

At FCC Concord we see faith as a journey, not a point of arrival. Thus you will often hear us make reference to "faith formation" rather than "education."

To that end we offer a variety of programs, events and classes to enrich the participant's faith development through increasing knowledge of the Biblical story and deepening experience of how that story calls us to lives of faithfulness.

We hope you will share your faith journey with us. You and your family, from the youngest to the oldest, are invited to learn and grow together.

Something For Everyone: Spiritual Formation for Fall 2026

We will gather this Fall for several opportunities for learning, exploration, growth, and fun.

Midweek Manna: Wednesdays beginning September 2; 11 am - 12 pm

This is a time to reflect on the sermon from the previous Sunday or look toward the sermon for the upcoming Sunday. The group will choose which option to focus on and will meet in the Plambeck
Room and on Zoom.

We Call Ourselves Disciples: September 6, 20, October 4, 18, November 1, 15; after worship

A 6-session focus on the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) that will help us reflect on the ways Disciples understand and live into a variety of topics. The class on September 20 will begin after the Elder’s meeting and the class on November 15 will begin after the Fall Potluck.

Inquirer’s Class: November 29; after worship

An opportunity for people considering membership at FCC Concord. This will be a good introduction to or follow-up of We Call Ourselves Disciples.

You Are Not Alone: First Thursdays of each month beginning Oct 1; 6 PM

An online group for people who are experiencing grief. Rev. Renae Earl, Facilitator.

Advent Study: Dec 2, 9, 16, 23; at noon .

Jacob Perez will be developing our Advent Study this year and will focus on the women in the birth narrative. We will share more when we get closer to Advent.
