Re-Opening Preparation

The leadership of First Christian Church has tentatively selected Sunday, July 18, as the day to return to in – person services in the sanctuary.

Our church home has, for the most part, sat vacant, gathering dust and cobwebs, for the last seventeen months, as all of us struggled to adapt and survive the menace of the Covid 19 Pandemic. As we prepare to reopen for Sunday worship in the sanctuary, there are a number of housekeeping and landscape issues that will need to be addressed. We want to have the interior and exterior of the campus looking in tip top shape, as we welcome back the members and friends of the church.

In order to accomplish these numerous tasks, House and Grounds is sponsoring an All- Hands Workday on Saturday, July 17, from 8am to Noon. If you have time, even an hour, and would feel safe in participating, please plan to be a part of this very important preparation day, as First Christian Church looks forward to resuming worship in the Sanctuary.

Further information as to the jobs that will need to be done and the Covid 19 Protocols that will be in place will be in next week’s Intersections.

For the present time, please circle the morning of July 17th as the date to come and support the workings of our church home.
