The often used cliche, 'God won't give you more than you can handle' sounds like it might be helpful and encouraging, but when we look at it a little closer we see that its really not. The whole truth is that there will be times when we face more than we can handle. But that’s not because our faith is weak, or because God is punishing us, or playing games with us. It’s because that’s the way life goes; it's the way the world works. In those moments it’s alright to admit, “I can’t handle this by myself. I need help.” And we turn to God, trusting that God walks with us, that God’s spirit is at work in us and in our situations, helping us handle all that life gives us.
