July 12, 2026: Living One’s Best Life!
Proverbs 3: 1-12
Rev. Dr. Leslie Taylor, preaching
What does it truly mean to live your "best life"? In a world fragmented by constant digital distractions, many of us find ourselves feeling increasingly disconnected, lonely, and yearning for a deeper sense of purpose. This coming week, our sermon "Living One's Best Life" dives into Proverbs 3:1-12 to discover a timeless roadmap for a life of genuine meaning, connection, and joy.
Proverbs teaches us that the good life isn't found in hoarding wealth or chasing status, but in a lifelong pursuit of wisdom rooted in a trusting relationship with God. Living your best life means putting God First. When we ground our faith in the Creator, we find the courage to navigate life's inevitable hardships, viewing trials not as failures, but as spiritual lessons.
Central to this journey is the spiritual practice of Generosity and Stewardship. Just as ancient Israel brought their "first fruits" as an act of worship, we are challenged to honor God with our very best — our time, talents, and resources. Giving is a tangible expression of our faith in action. By choosing to share generously rather than operate from a place of fear or scarcity, we align our priorities with God's. We invest in a community where everyone can thrive with dignity and belonging.
Join us this Sunday as we learn to slow down, breathe, and get back on the path. Let together how to live on purpose, with purpose!
