September 27, 2026: The Centrality of Love
Deuteronomy 6: 1-9

Our Stewardship theme this year has been “There Our Hearts Will Be. ”
Today, we connect to the deep, longstanding covenants with God, going back to Moses, who asked his people to love God alone, to love God so much that the law of love was written on their hearts. Jesus later echoes this passage, placing the command to love our neighbor right alongside it as the essence of faithful living.
When we make the same promise to love God alone, we are releasing other claims on our hearts, other temptations and idols. In this stewardship season, let us write God’s great love for us on our hearts again, so we might share with others.
As stewards of our church’s mission, we are invited to reflect on how our gifts of time, talent, and treasure align with this core calling.

How does your financial offering reflect a response to God’s love rather than duty?
How does our church’s mission express our shared commitment to love God and neighbor?
