As I consider the sermon scripture for this coming week, here are some of the questions I am considering. What questions do you have?

Economic Justice & The Meaning of Work / Redefining Worth: The early-morning workers felt cheated because payment was not based on hours worked. How does this parable challenge modern capitalist ideas of productivity, meritocracy, and "earning" one's keep?

Inclusion & Systemic Barriers / Who Remains Unhired? When asked why they were still standing around at 5:00 PM, the workers reply, "Because no one has hired us." Who in our communities or broader society are the last to be "hired" or included? What systemic barriers (e.g., ageism, disability, discrimination, lack of documentation) keep people standing in the marketplace all day?

Generosity vs. Scarcity Mindset: How does a mindset of comparative entitlement or artificial scarcity distort our ability to celebrate justice and abundance for others?
